On-Demand: AR / Credit & Collections: Compliance to Laws & Regulations that are Critical

Share

On-Demand

If you work in Accounts Receivable or Credit and Collections, your day-to-day routine tasks may be governed by company policy… but is that company policy in compliance with the most current government regulations? Many organizations don’t realize how many of their methods, procedures and behaviors are subject to government regulation – from how you evaluate and set the customer’s credit line, to how you handle their confidential information, to how you communicate with your customers.

Ignorance of the law is no excuse in the eyes of the government. Once the laws are published, you and your organization are responsible for understanding and following them to the letter – no exceptions. The consequences of noncompliance include substantial fines, and even imprisonment.

Whether your organization is B2B or B2C, this webinar will cover critical, need-to-know information that will keep you in compliance (and out of hot water!), including:

  • OFAC

  • Sox, Section 404

  • GAAP and IFRS ~ Reporting Standards

  • Privacy Laws and PCI DSS Compliance

  • Anti-Trust or Fair Competition Laws

  • Consurmer Debt Collections Law

  • Fair Credit Reporting Act

  • UCC: Uniform Commercial code

  • Escheatment

  • Record Retention & Destruction

** Bankruptcy & Lien Laws will be covered in the Collections Webcast
